John C. Landers, CPA/PFS, CFP®

John provides Investment Advisory services, Income tax planning, and Estate tax planning, and Family Office CFO services to clients of Branson, Fowlkes & Co., Inc.as a part of their wholistic financial services to wealthy family groups. In addition to his role at Branson Fowlkes & Co., Inc., John is the CFO of a law firm headquartered in Houston with offices in NYC, LA, and San Juan, PR.

John earned a BBA with a concentration in Accounting from Texas State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas maintaining the AICPA designation as a Personal Financial Specialist, and he is a Certified Financial Planner™. Prior to his current activities, he worked in Public Accounting for 34 years retiring as a Tax Partner for an International Accounting Firm. He served for 6 years on the firms Texas Executive Committee having been elected to 3 consecutive terms by his fellow partners. He was a founding Shareholder and Board Member of Texan Bank, N.A. serving as the Chairman of the Audit Committee and on various Committees for 11 years prior to its sale to Home Bank, N.A.  He was also a founding Board member of the Friendswood ISD Education Foundation, and a founding member of Antioch Houston Community Church, serving on its Finance Team for 10 years. He currently serves on the Board of Pastoral & Chaplaincy Services, Inc. (PCS Ministries), a Non-profit organization, providing Pastoral and Chaplain services and training to First Responders, Military Veterans and their families.

John’s faith in Jesus Christ is the center of his life. He was ordained as Deacon at First Baptist Church Friendswood in 1997. John and his wife since 1988, Nona, served there teaching Sunday School to youth for 17 years. John and Nona are currently members of Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. They have four grown children and two grandchildren. John enjoys beekeeping, golfing, hunting, fishing, and attending college & professional sporting events.
